Baked French Toast Casserole

I’m getting quite a few requests for the Baked French Toast Casserole recipe that was served at our Springtime Soiree, so I thought I’d share it with you all here on the blog.  dscn7487-9987224

Doesn’t it look yummy?  And it tastes just as good as it looks!

I’m also pretty sure that if you eat it while surrounded by people you love, it’s calorie-free!  😉

Here’s the recipe, shared with me by my sister-in-law, Sharon.

Ingredients:

4 tablespoons butter

2 cans Pillsbury cinnamon rolls with icing

1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

2 teaspoons cinnamon

2 teaspoons vanilla

6 eggs

1/2 cup maple syrup

Instructions:

1.  Melt butter and place in a 13″ x9″ pan.

2.  Separate cinnamon roll and cut each one into 8 pieces.  Put the cut rolls in the pan evenly.

3.  Mix together eggs, whipping cream, cinnamon and vanilla; pour evenly over cut rolls.  Drizzle maple syrup over top.

4.  Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 28-30 minutes.  Let cool for 10-15 minutes.  Spread the icing from the cinnamon rolls over top.

Eat up!  Let me know how you like it!  🙂
